Sylvia

Sylvia – one of Levin's early short stories – was published in the April, 1955 issue of Manhunt Detective Story Monthly. Levin provided this capsule synopsis in a 2002 fan letter reply: “‘Sylvia’ was about an interfering father who’s gunned down by the mousy daughter whose romance he broke up.”

Sylvia was adapted for the Alfred Hitchcock Presents television anthology series in 1958. (As a great admirer and student of Hitchcock's work, we can only imagine Levin was quite please about that.
