Sylvia – one of Levin's early short stories – was published in the April, 1955 issue of Manhunt Detective Story Monthly. Levin provided this capsule synopsis in a 2002 fan letter reply:
Sylvia was adapted for the Alfred Hitchcock Presents television anthology series in 1958. (As a great admirer and student of Hitchcock's work, we can only imagine Levin was quite please about that.
